Our identity

Life is a voyage

The O.C.E. Grand Lodge is a private social and fraternal organisation for responsible men and women, established around fellowship, leadership, networking, personal development, legitimate wealth creation, mutual support, charity and service.

Every individual is travelling through a personal voyage of experiences, challenges, relationships, opportunities and achievements. O.C.E. brings people together so that this voyage can be strengthened through knowledge, fellowship, discipline, networking, leadership and mutual support.

Five Pillars

What we stand upon

I

Brotherhood

The bond that connects the men of O.C.E. and, more broadly, the spirit of unity and mutual responsibility throughout the Order.

II

Sisterhood

The bond, dignity, development and mutual support of the women within O.C.E. Women are an important part of the identity and development of the Order.

III

Integrity

Integrity is the moral anchor of O.C.E. A ship requires an anchor to remain secure; similarly, an organisation requires integrity to remain trustworthy.

IV

Service

Service reminds members that membership should produce value beyond personal benefit.

V

Excellence

Excellence represents the continuous pursuit of improvement.

Membership identity

The Three Circles

Outer Circle

Prospective Members — Applicant • Discovery • Recognition

The Outer Circle is the entry and observation stage of O.C.E. It is designed for individuals who have expressed genuine interest in becoming members but have not yet attained full membership.

Middle Circle

Recognised Membership — Preparation • Networking • Development

The Middle Circle represents formal recognition and deeper participation in the Order. Entry is granted to individuals who have completed the required introductory period and have been reviewed, approved and formally recognised according to O.C.E. procedures.

Inner Circle

Leadership, Stewardship & Higher Responsibility

The Inner Circle represents the highest level of organisational responsibility, institutional trust and stewardship within the O.C.E. structure. It is not simply a status or prestige level. Admission is based upon proven character, service, leadership ability, experience, commitment and formal approval.

Official colours

Navy, gold and white
